Two Kinds of Editing for Your Manuscript

  • Basic

A basic edit is a traditional copyedit, and is perfect for manuscripts that:

    1. Are densely written and need better readability

    2. Have an uneven tone because of differences in co-authors’ writing styles

    3. Need a “native speaker” touch

    4. Need a final grammar and proof check before a journal submission

    What You Will Get:

    1. An MS Word file with all changes tracked. Areas that need further clarification will be flagged in comments.

    2. An opportunity to resubmit the manuscript to me for rechecking of any rewritten parts (limited to 20% of the text).

    3. An edited manuscript one week from submission.

  • Premium

Premium editing is suitable for manuscripts that:

    1. Need deep support in developing core ideas and argument

    2. Need their story, flow, argument and positioning fixed

    3. Have received a risky revise and resubmit

    4. Have been through multiple journal rejections

    5. Need shortening by more than 15% of their length.

    6. Are solo authored, or where the burden of writing / revising has fallen to one author

    What You Will Get:

    1. A manuscript edit that focuses on the areas that need work (story, argument, flow, certain sections etc.), with specific issues flagged in the text

    2. Opportunities to discuss your ideas and rewriting / revision plans with me on Zoom

    3. A clear supported pathway, with tools and frameworks, to writing the various sections of the paper

    4. Revision strategies in line with reviewers’ comments if the paper is a “revise and resubmit”

    5. A final check of the paper prior to submission, to check for grammar and typos

Premium editing has helped many authors gain confidence in their writing and claims, and to publish in the journals of their choice.

The singular, personalized and guided support that I provide as an academic writing professional has few parallels in the world of business academia.

Whether in introducing new approaches and strategies to writing or providing the much needed emotional support to give authors the impetus to write with joy, my goal is to help you succeed at the publishing game.
